JOURNAL JOYFUL MOMENTS
One of my favorite ideas involving motherhood that I received was to write down in a journal when you have a joyous moment with your baby. The craziness can feel overwhelming at times, but those joyous moments truly do outweigh that crazy. So write them down!! And while writing, use vivid descriptions to paint the picture so when you read it later, it will bring you back to that moment... here is a little excerpt from one of my journals:

“My bright eyed baby girl took a few steps on her own tonight. She has been trying to take those first steps for a while now and has been doing so with assistance...but tonight she took 2 steps all on her own. She roared with laughter as we clapped and spinned around the room with her in excitement. She is courageous. And determined. And I love seeing her eyes light up as she explores more of what her body is capable of doing. Her giggles make me giggle with her and as I rocked her to sleep tonight, I stayed with her longer than I usually do and just looked at her chest rising up and down. Her heart was beating at a slow steady pace and every so often, she would stir a little making her take in a longer breath letting out a gentle sigh. Her eyelashes are so dark and long and her hair is curling and still has that beautiful tint of red. Her heart beats because of us. I can’t believe we made this little beauty. Her spirit is strong and her love is constant. I love my little Brynlee. I read that when I need a little boost in my day (like today...when she was driving me absolutely crazy 😜....perspective is a gift and journaling can be a huge blessing to look back on. What is something that you do to bring back the bright side of motherhood? I would love to hear what your thoughts are in the comments below! ❤️
