Must-Have Baby Item: DockATot

Being a first-time mom, I researched a ton about must-have baby products when I was pregnant.
One item that kept popping up that parents LOVED was the DockATot.
I instantly thought they were adorable with beautiful designs and patterns. I liked how it seemed to be a multi-functional lounger and a portable, safe place for baby to sleep and play.
I kept researching and read stellar reviews from parents who called the DockATot magical, a life savor, and an essential baby survival item because it was the only thing their baby would sleep in for more than a few hours.
Well, like most people, I value and need sleep. I knew that sleep is one of the last things you have time for with a new baby, so I instantly wrote the DockATot on my list of things to buy.
When we had Brynlee, my labor was LONG and hard. Brynlee had a hard time sleeping meaning that we were not sleeping either. While we were at the hospital, Jared and I slept maybe 10 hours in 3 days.
Brynlee woke up every 20 minutes to 2 hours. We hoped that bringing Brynlee home would help us all sleep more...it didn't.
She would only stay asleep for more than a few hours if we were holding her. That first week was rough and I was completely exhausted. I kept thinking how in the world was I going to be able to function if this is how it would be like for the next few months?!
But, then our DOCKATOT arrived!! DockATot generously gifted me a DockATot for Brynlee.....Hallelujah!

The first night using the DockATot, Brynlee slept for 4 hours straight. (I kept waking up to make sure she was still breathing because I thought she couldn't sleep that long.)
Brynlee is about 2 months old now and she is sleeping at least 4-6 hours, wakes up to eat, and then falls back asleep for another 4-6 hours. All of the raving reviews about the DockATot.....are true!
At first glance, the price seems high for what looks like a pretty soft pillow, but from my experience, it is worth it if that means you and your baby get more sleep.
I like how the DockATot is all natural, breathable, and 100% cotton. The bumper cushions the baby to increase a feeling of security and it is so portable. I like how I can easily move it to different rooms in the house so I can bring Brynlee with me wherever I go. I can put it on the table if I'm cooking in the kitchen, in my living room if I'm working out in the morning, or on my bed as I'm folding laundry. It is easy to transport in the car when we go to friends and while traveling.

I LOVE Brynlee's DockATot. I highly recommend every new parent to get one for their baby!!
There are two types of DockATots. The Deluxe is for ages 0-8 months and the Grand is for ages 9-36 months. Both have a buckle on the bottom so you can keep it closed, but then have the option to open it when they get longer .
It is also machine washable! Although, the only negative point that I don't like is that because the cover is 100% cotton, you need to let it air-dry. I don't like how I have to wait a whole day to wash and air-dry the cover. (Although, it helps me to realize how often I use it when I can't use it ;)
{Side note: The first time I washed it, I did it too late in the day so it was still wet when it was Brynlee's bedtime. I let her sleep in her crib and she didn't sleep nearly as well waking up every 2 hours. There again proving how this DockATot really does help her sleep better and longer! It wasn't just because she was a little baby, but because the DockATot really does work.}

Every baby may be different, but from my experience with Brynlee, we both LOVE her DockATot.
